Inform3 are seeking an experienced Senior Quantity Surveyor to join a busy commercial team in Omagh, Northern Ireland.  The Senior QS is required to ensure that all commercial aspects of contracts are properly managed and controlled.

Our client is a highly reputable company, who are keen to get a Senior Quantity Surveyor with good civils experience into their business and to develop and progress their career further.

As an experienced Quantity Surveyor, you will bring your expertise and knowledge, to support and assist the team.

 

Senior Quantity Surveyor Job Specification

  • Delivery of commercial management services for all tendering and projects.
  • Preparation of timely internal commercial reporting.
  • Preparing monthly CVRs, including WIP control and project cash flow forecasts.
  • Monitor project costs and expenditures to ensure projects are completed within budget.
  • Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and subcontractors to ensure effective cost control.
  • Assist in the resolution of contractual and commercial issues.
  • Preparation of valuations/payment applications with full supporting documentation in accordance with the contracts.
  • Support continuous improvement of cost and project control procedures alongside the directors and contracts manager.
  • Lead and develop the procurement process, including negotiation with clients, suppliers and subcontractors.
  • Prepare and review tender documents and produce estimates and submission documents including PQQs.
  • Measurement of quantities in accordance with the standard methods of measurement as required.
  • Administration of subcontractor/supplier accounts including purchase orders, monitoring and payment authorisation through to agreement of final accounts.
  • Undertake the contract administration for minor works.
  • Meet with our clients’ commercial representative to agree variations and valuations.
  • Preparing, submitting, and agreeing interim valuations.
  • Ensure final accounts are closed in a timely manner.
  • Process contractual claims and all associated records.

Senior Quantity Surveyor Requirements:

  • Hold Degree in Quantity Surveying / Construction Management
  • Motivated, driven and works well within team
  • Proficient in using Microsoft Excel and Word
  • 10+ years + experience
  • Civil engineering sector experience is an advantage.
  • Commercially astute.
  • Experience with developing forecasts.
  • Strong time management skills.
