About the Company:
A Building and Civil Engineering company with offices based in Northern Ireland and the Republic of Ireland have an opening for a Senior Quantity Surveyor. Their projects include full range of construction services, and can be anything up to £50 million.
You would report to the Managing Quantity Surveyor and have the support of a team of Quantity Surveyor’s.
The Role:
- Preparing, negotiating and analysing costs for tenders and contracts.
- Ensure sub-contractors are pre-qualified in accordance with management systems.
- Procurement of sub-contractors and preparation of sub-contractor order documentation.
- Assessing and certification of sub-contractor interim payments.
- Preparation of Interim valuations and final account.
- Managing and valuing variations.
- Production of monthly Cost Value Reconciliation on contracts.
- Establish, maintain and enhance effective working relationships.
- Plan, allocate and evaluate work carried out by teams, individuals and yourself.
Requirements:
- Third level qualification in Quantity Surveying or Construction management.
- 5+ years’ experience with a Main Contractor in the Building Sector in NI or ROI.
- Experience working within Social Housing Sector.
- Proficient in Microsoft excel and project.
- Excellent verbal and non-verbal communication skills.
- Demonstrates commercial awareness – market, competition, value for money.
