Senior Quantity Surveyor – Mallow
Inform3 is currently recruiting a Senior Quantity Surveyor with experience in civil engineering / infrastructure projects to join our client’s commercial team based in Mallow.
This is a great opportunity for an experienced QS who enjoys managing the commercial side of projects from start to finish — from early cost planning right through to final accounts.
The Role
You’ll be responsible for the commercial and financial management of projects, including:
- Working closely with clients, project managers, consultants, and subcontractors
- Managing contracts and commercial relationships
- Preparing and agreeing budgets and variation costs
- Checking project costs and resolving any queries
- Attending pre-contract meetings and coordinating actions with the wider project team
- Preparing procurement schedules and tender packages
- Reviewing subcontractor quotes and placing orders
- Measuring and valuing works on site
- Processing subcontractor payments
- Producing cost reports and forecasts for management
- Supporting contract and site teams to keep projects running smoothly
- Helping to mentor and develop junior surveyors
What they are looking for
- Degree in Quantity Surveying or Construction Management
- 5+ years’ experience, ideally in civil engineering or infrastructure projects
- A team player with a strong work ethic and positive attitude
- Confident using Microsoft Excel and Word
