Senior Quantity Surveyor /Commercial Manager
The Company
Fit out contractor based in Dublin city are expanding their services to develop their commercial team to oversee commercial projects.
You will take on a Senior Quantity Surveyor /Commercial Manager role in order to establish, develop and manage a new team to head up the commercial projects. It is vital for this role you have experience of this and of the Irish market in order to establish working relationships and business develop this area.
This role will be full time based in the office in Dublin and require site travel. You will report into the Directors.
The Role
- Overseeing the development of newly structured commercial projects team
- Provide strategic input and advice for decision making goals and objectives for your department
- Establish good working relationships with clients and new prospective clients.
- Commercially manage several projects
- Site visits.
- Responsible for the timely processing of Interim Monthly applications for payment under the conditions of the contract.
- Procurement of Sub-contractors, processing of monthly payments, obtaining final account agreements and resolving disputed issues by negotiation.
- Commercial advice to Directors, Contracts Managers and site management team.
- Assist the Estimating Dept in tendering for large projects.
- Timely production of monthly costs, cash-flows, Cost Valuation Reports.
- Monthly Projects status reviews with the Commercial Manager and Directors.
Requirements
- Degree in QS or similar discipline
- Experience in delivering live projects within budget from tender to final stage.
- Familiar with construction contracts
- 10 + years’ experience
- Motivated individual to work independently and part of team.
