Job Title – Senior Site Engineer
Project – New Build Housing Schemes
Job Location – Co. Kildare
Salary – €60,000 - €75,000 + package
*Salary Negotiable for the right person*
About the Company
Working with a busy developer who have multiple new projects starting across the Kildare Region and work for Co. Laois thereafter.
Currently have live projects with up to 300 units and new phases in planning for exiting locations – they have a very busy few years ahead and are looking for someone who wants to come on board and grow and progress with the company.
This would suit a highly organised individual who has 5+ years’ experience as Site Engineer or Senior Engineer and wants to take the next step in their career and work with a private developer.
The Role
- checking works as required for the projects.
- Ensuring all works are completed in line with project drawings specifications and building regulations.
- Liaise with and supervise sub-contractors and personnel on site in in the planning and construction of the project.
- Organise their own schedule week to week based on activities taking place on site.
- Support the Senior Engineer/ Project Manager/ Contracts Manager to ensure works are completed as per programme and to a high standard.
- Work with design team and architects to quickly and efficiently overcome any technical issues that may arise during the construction stage.
- Assist with BCAR, QA/QC and Inspections.
- Pre-pour Inspections.
- Ensure H&S standards are met and adhered to on site.
- Maintain excellent relationships with the construction management team, subcontractors and site personnel.
- Supervise works and check the quality of works to ensure they are of a high standard.
Requirements
- A Degree in Engineering or related discipline.
- Minimum of 5 years’ experience in an engineer role with a Main Contractor or Developer in Ireland.
- Experience with residential Construction is essential.
- Experience managing a Team on Engineers, working closely with architects and design team and supporting senior management.
- Ability to use setting out instruments is essential and being competent in all aspects of set out, survey & level, temporary works co-ordination.
- Thorough knowledge of computer and database applications such as Microsoft Office and Project/PowerPoint.
