Job Description
INFORM3 are currently recruiting for an experienced Senior Site Engineer to join one of Ireland’s largest and most established building contractors on a major mixed-use development in Limerick.
This is an excellent opportunity to join a high-profile project incorporating residential and mixed-use elements, taking responsibility for engineering operations, setting out and ensuring works are delivered to the highest technical and quality standards.
The successful candidate will work closely with the Site Management team, coordinating engineering activities, supporting site operations and ensuring the project is delivered in line with programme requirements.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee all setting-out activities and ensure works are completed accurately.
- Interpret construction drawings, specifications and technical information.
- Manage and coordinate junior engineers and engineering activities on site.
- Ensure works are delivered in line with design specifications and programme.
- Carry out quality checks and inspections throughout the project.
- Coordinate subcontractors and monitor their works on site.
- Liaise with architects, design teams, consultants and site management.
- Manage technical queries, RFIs and resolve engineering issues.
- Maintain accurate site records, as-built drawings and survey information.
- Ensure all works comply with health and safety and quality standards.
Candidate Requirements
- Degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management or a related discipline.
- 5+ years' experience in a Site Engineering role.
- Strong experience working on large-scale residential or commercial construction projects.
- Excellent setting-out experience using Total Station, GPS and other surveying equipment.
- Strong ability to interpret construction drawings and specifications.
- Experience coordinating subcontractors and managing engineering teams.
- Excellent communication, organisational and problem-solving skills.
- Strong knowledge of construction methods, sequencing and quality control.
