Senior Structural Engineer

INFORM3 are recruiting for a Senior Structural Engineer to join one of Irelands leading Civil and Structural Consultancy based in South Dublin. The client is looking for someone who has 6 years+ postgrad experience preferably in a Consultancy role with someone eager to progress with opportunity to become associate director.
Senior Structural Engineer Responsibilities:
- Management of a team of structural engineers
- Designing of steel frames for Design & Build Projects
- Connection Design / Structural Analysis – responsible to ensure all connections are designed with sufficient
- Design to ensure structural capacity to support the structure whilst being subjected to the specified ultimate forces.
- Continuous collaboration & enabling the detailing office to produce detailed structural models and drawings for fabrication purposes.
- Ensuring compliance with client requirements and contract specifications.
- Liaising and meeting with project design teams, architects, engineers, and main contractors to ensure projects are designed and fabricated in accordance with project specifications.
- Continuous collaboration with the detailing office, addressing structural design queries and ensuring connections for fabrication purposes are detailed in accordance with the engineer/contractor design intent and to meet with available steel section sizes.
- Technical engineering support to production management personnel and site teams.
- Coordination on of project-specific structural design submittals / RFI’s for client review, ensuring projects remain within contract and specification requirements.
Senior Structural Engineers Specification:
- Minimum of a Level 8 Degree in Civil Engineering.
- Chartered Engineer (CEng, MIEI / MICE or recognised equivalent).
- 6 years+ experience in a Consultant Engineers practice on a range of civil and structural projects
- Be chartered or near chartered with Engineers Ireland or equivalent.
- Have a track record in the master-planning and delivery of roads and services infrastructure projects.
- Strong work ethic and attention to detail.
- Confident in using Microsoft Office
- Committed to CPD
- Excellent numeracy skills
- Full driving licence
