A successful Manufacturing Company located in County Galway are currently on the lookout for a knowledgeable Service Technician to join their growing team. The individual should have a mind for Engineering and Manufacturing with a very hands-on approach.

The successful candidate will be working on a range of manufacturing equipment amongst a team of technicians and engineers.

This is a great opportunity for an individual to join a well-known Manufacturing Company and further widen their knowledge and skills within the industry.

Responsibilities of the Role:

  • Maintenance responsibility for all manufacturing equipment and processes within the business.
  • Carry out reactive maintenance and service whenever required.
  • Progress to agreed service plans.
  • Meet or better all of the companies Health, Safety, Quality and Environmental targets.
  • Carry out maintenance, repairs, testing and inspection of manufacturing equipment.
  • Carry out regular reviews of maintenance management plans to assist in the identification of service needs.
  • Prepare any necessary reports for operations management as directed.
  • Oversee any activities associated with installations or replacement of manufacturing equipment and processes.
  • Constantly look for wats to improve equipment, processes and systems.
  • Support the line team in the planned maintenance execution, defect fixing, recording and execution of improvements of issues of a mechanical nature on production lines.
  • Plan all maintenance work, liaise with the suppliers and sourcing parts for daily work.

Experience, Knowledge and Skills:

  • Have at least 2 years’ experience in a Maintenance role within a Manufacturing Environment.
  • Hold recognisable qualifications relevant to the role.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to work well as part of a team.
  • Positive and hardworking individual.
  • Strong attention to detail and follow up skills.
  • Ability to manage a busy work load.
  • Hands on approach to work.
  • Determination to complete work to tight deadlines.
