Service/Maintenance Engineer                                Cork                                              €40-45K + Van

An excellent opportunity has arisen for a multi-skilled Service/Maintenance Engineer working with a very successful Manufacturing company based in Cork.

The individual should have the ability to perform both Electrical and Mechanical service tasks, with a good eye for detail. Being self-motivated with the ability to work on your own as well as part of a team is highly beneficial in order to succeed within the company.

Key Responsibilities of the Role:

  • Responsible for the safe planning, coordination and safe operation of all plant required for the support of all Maintenance, Renewals and Improvement activities.
  • Carry out pre-planned general works on a range of company equipment.  
  • Disassemble, replace and repair defective parts. Making sure to reassemble when required.
  • Carry out reactive maintenance tasks in an efficient and effective manner.
  • Ensure defects and issues are logged.
  • Ensure compliance with all health and safety standards and regulations.
  • React quickly to breakdowns, communicate clearly with affected parties and work efficiently to fix the issue.
  • Drive improvements in the performance of machinery, by learning from breakdowns and making suggestions.
  • Preform maintenance works, renewals and enhancement works. Including inspections, self-assurance checks and quality checks.

Experience, Knowledge and Skills for the Role:

  • 2 years previous experience in Service/Maintenance Role.
  • Multi skilled in both electrical and mechanical disciplines.
  • Recognisable qualifications in relation to the role.
  • Computer literate.
  • Have good communication skills, with the ability to work well as part of a team.
  • Ability to use own initiative.
  • Have a logical approach to solving problems.
  • Motivated and positive in work.
  • Have the determination to get things done.
