INFORM3 are currently recruiting for experienced Site Agents to join a major road infrastructure project in Kerry.
The successful candidate will have a strong background in road construction, earthworks/structures, with a minimum of 7 years’ post-graduate experience in a civil engineering environment.
This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Site Agent looking to take responsibility for the successful delivery of major civil engineering works while working closely with the Project Manager and wider site team.
Site Agent Key Responsibilities
- Manage and coordinate daily site activities across road, earthworks and structures packages.
- Take responsibility for the safe and efficient delivery of works in line with programme and specifications.
- Coordinate site teams, subcontractors, suppliers and plant.
- Manage earthworks operations including excavation, embankments, cut and fill, grading and compaction.
- Oversee structural works including concrete, drainage structures, retaining structures and associated civils.
- Ensure works are carried out in accordance with drawings, specifications and approved methodologies.
- Monitor progress against programme and report to the Project Manager.
- Coordinate with Site Engineers and Surveyors to ensure accurate setting out and construction.
- Review construction drawings, RAMS, specifications and technical information.
- Maintain accurate site records, daily reports and progress documentation.
- Assist with planning, sequencing and resource allocation.
- Liaise with the client, consultants and subcontractors to resolve technical and construction issues.
- Monitor quality of works and ensure all relevant inspection and testing requirements are completed.
- Ensure all works are delivered in accordance with health and safety requirements.
- Identify potential programme, technical and construction issues and implement solutions promptly.
- Support commercial and contractual reporting where required.
Site Agent Requirements:
- Relevant Degree / Level 8 qualification in Civil Engineering or a related discipline.
- Minimum 7 years' post-graduate experience in civil engineering.
- Strong experience working on road, infrastructure or major civils projects.
- Proven experience managing earthworks or structures.
- Strong understanding of construction methodologies, sequencing and site management.
- Experience coordinating subcontractors and site teams.
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and specifications.
- Strong understanding of quality, health and safety requirements.
- Excellent communication and organisational skills.
- Ability to work effectively under pressure and manage competing priorities.
- Strong leadership and problem-solving skills.
- Full driving licence.
- Safe Pass and relevant site safety qualifications.
