Site and Section Engineers – England

INFORM3 are seeking to appoint Site and Section Engineers, for a large civils project based in England. The successful candidate will work on behalf of a Northern Irish Contractor with extensive years of experience and knowledge in the Construction Industry. The client has repeatedly surpassed their own client’s expectations and due to this are continually growing. The successful candidates will be experience in civil projects, supervising and setting out.

 

Site and Section Engineers Key Responsibilities:

  • Report to the Project Manager regarding site activity
  • Be extremely familiar with the Site Drawings and Specifications
  • Set out the site according to specifications the project plan
  • Supervise all site teams including direct and sub-contractor staff, ensuring they are clear on their duties
  • Utilise resources on site such as Plan and Machinery through effective coordination
  • Order in materials and equipment, ensuring staff have sufficient levels to complete
  • Motivate staff to reach targets and deadlines
  • Be the point of contact for any technical difficulties on site
  • Assist in managing Health & Safety on site, ensuring regulations and procedures are adhered too
  • Be familiar with the company’s policies and procedures, and ensure site teams are complying with them and producing high quality work
  • Attend Site Meetings
  • Coordinate Toolbox talks and Site Inductions
  • Process site paperwork and site dairies
  • Manage traffic on site
  • Produce reports for Site Management

 

Site and Section Engineers Required Qualifications/Experience:

  • Civil Engineering Background
  • 1-4 years plus experience in a similar role
  • Able to supervise civil teams
  • Experience in working on groundworks, earthworks, utilities etc
  • Confident in using Microsoft Office
  • Excellent organisation and communication skills
  • Self-Starter
  • Full Driving license
