Site Engineer – Galway
INFORM3 are seeking to appoint a Site Engineer for civils projects in the Galway area. The successful candidate will work for a Civil Engineering Contractor with more than 20 years’ experience in the construction industry. The client is seeking a Site Engineer with previous experience in setting out and working on bridges, roads and utilities.
Site Engineer Responsibilities:
- Report into the Site Management team
- Check the Site Drawings and Specifications
- Complete Setting Out duties
- Assist in supervising site works and coordinating with subcontractors and direct staff
- Assist in coordinating Plant, Machinery and Equipment
- Order in materials
- Adhere to Health & Safety
- Adhere to the company’s policy regarding quality
- Be the point of contact for technical queries
- Attend Site Meetings
- Complete the site diary daily
- Ensure all staff have received site inductions
- Conduct Toolbox talks
- Liaise with Clients / Consultancies when necessary
- Assist in emergency situations
Site Engineer Specification:
- Civil Engineer Degree
- 1-2 years plus experience
- Setting Out knowledge and experience
- Able to work within a team and individually
- Able to use Microsoft Office
- Ambitious and driven to grow
- Full driving licence
