Site Engineer – Cork

INFORM3 are recruiting a Site Engineer for utility projects in Cork. The successful candidate will work for a client with over 50 years’ experience in the Building and Civil Engineering industry. Due to continued demand for their services, the client is expanding and have projects starting imminently. The successful candidate will need to have previous experience setting out, supervising site works and knowledge of utility projects.

 

Site Engineer Responsibilities:

  • Liaise with the Project Manager
  • Oversee structural activity on site
  • Set out the site accurately, regularly checking site drawings and specifications
  • Assist in managing sub-contractors, labourers and onsite staff
  • Assist in the coordination and control of plant and equipment
  • Adhere to health & safety regulations
  • Understanding company policies with regard to quality and ensuring these are implemented at every level of works
  • Maintain an accurate site diary
  • Conduct Toolbox Talks and Health and Safety Briefings
  • Ensuring all staff receive full site inductions
  • Attend Site Meetings
  • Provide regular updates on the progress of works to Site Management
  • Assist in managing traffic on site

 

Site Engineer Specification:

  • Civil Engineer Degree
  • Excellent organisation and communication skills
  • Team player, who has the ability to self-start and work independently
  • Strong skills with Microsoft Word, Excel etc
  • Setting out knowledge
  • Full driving licence
