Site Engineer – Cork
INFORM3 are recruiting for a confident and experienced Site Engineer to join a specialist Civils Contractor working in Cork on a Commercial project completing groundworks and RC frames.
The successful candidate must be able to set out, work individually, part of a team and provide structurally support to the site team.
The client can provide accommodation to the successful candidate if they are travelling from outside of Cork and not within a reasonable commute,
Site Engineer Responsibilities:
- Report to the Project Manager
- Coordinate structural activity and staff, ensuring compliance with company procedures throughout.
- Review Site Drawings & Specifications, setting out the site accordingly
- Assist in managing plant, machinery and equipment
- Assist in the management of materials and resources
- Understanding company policies with regard to quality and ensuring these are implemented at every level of works
- Adhere to Health & Safety regulations and policies
- Maintain the site diary and paperwork
- Conduct Toolbox Talks and Briefings
- Ensuring all staff receive full site inductions
- Hold and/or attend regular review/updating meetings with the wider team
- Provide regular updates on the progress of works to the Project Manager
- Liaise with Clients / Consultancies / the Public
- Assist in managing traffic on and off site
Site Engineer Specification:
- Civil Engineer Degree
- 1-3 years plus experience
- Confident in setting out
- Excellent communication and organisation skills
- Team player, who has the ability to self-start and work independently
- Strong skills with Microsoft Word, Excel etc
- Full driving licence
