Role Description
The responsibilities encompassed by this role are multifaceted and pivotal to the project's success. These duties include performing necessary setting out and inspection tasks in accordance with project specifications, drawings, and building regulations. Effective collaboration with on-site subcontractors and personnel to facilitate project planning and construction is vital. Proficiency in reading and interpreting engineering drawings is key, while also assisting the Site Manager and Senior Engineer in ensuring the project adheres to its timeline and maintains high standards. Additionally, cultivating strong relationships with the construction management team, subcontractors, and site staff is an essential aspect of this role.
Qualifications and Experience
Candidates for this role should possess a degree in Engineering or Construction Management, underpinned by a minimum of 2 years of post-graduate experience with a main contractor in either the UK or ROI. A background involving Concrete Structures is desirable, as is proficiency in handling setting out instruments and the broader aspects of set out, survey, level, and temporary works coordination. A thorough grasp of software tools like Microsoft Office, Project, and PowerPoint is expected.
