We are hiring for a leading Tier 1 contractor with a strong reputation for delivering high-quality construction projects throughout Ireland. Currently, we are seeking a Site Engineer to join a dynamic team in Dublin for a challenging and rewarding project – the construction of a large nursing home.
Key Responsibilities:
As a Site Engineer, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the successful execution of the nursing home construction project. Your responsibilities will include:
1. Site Supervision: Overseeing day-to-day site operations to ensure compliance with safety, quality, and project specifications.
2. Setting Out: Accurately setting out the works and ensuring all measurements are precise.
3. Quality Control: Monitoring and maintaining quality standards through regular inspections and reporting.
4. Health and Safety: Promoting and adhering to strict health and safety protocols to ensure a safe working environment for all on-site personnel.
5. Project Documentation: Maintaining accurate project records, including drawings, schedules, and reports.
6. Collaboration: Liaising with project managers, subcontractors, and stakeholders to facilitate effective communication and project progress.
7. Problem Solving: Identifying and resolving engineering issues or challenges as they arise during construction.
8. Material Procurement: Assisting in the procurement of construction materials and equipment as needed.
9. Progress Reporting: Providing regular progress reports to senior management and project stakeholders.
Qualifications and Experience:
To excel in this role, you should have:
- A degree in Civil Engineering or a related field.
- Proven experience working as a Site Engineer on construction projects, preferably within the healthcare sector.
- Strong knowledge of construction processes, techniques, and materials.
- Proficiency in the use of surveying equipment and software.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- The ability to work effectively within a team and independently.
- A commitment to safety and quality standards.
