Site Engineer – Kilkenny

 

INFORM3 are looking to appoint a Site engineer, completing roads and utilities projects in Kilkenny. The successful candidate will work on behalf of a client who has over 50 years’ experience in the industry and is continually expanding and growing. The client has strong values in always placing pride in their projects and putting the best foot forward. The client is seeking a hard working and determined engineer with experience in setting out and surveying.

 

Site Engineer Responsibilities:

  • Responsibility for overseeing structure activity and staff, ensuring compliance with company procedures throughout.
  • Assist in managing, leading and motivating the site team
  • Oversee the selection and requisition of materials and plant
  • Management of health and safety on site
  • Understanding company policies with regard to quality and ensuring these are implemented at every level of works
  • Understand quality requirements from specifications and drawings and ensure compliance with both, on site
  • Carry out and record quality inspections
  • Keeping up to date site diaries and paperwork
  • Conducting Toolbox Talks and Health and Safety Briefings
  • Ensuring all staff receive full site inductions and briefings
  • Ensure competence of staff
  • Hold and/or attend regular review/updating meetings with the wider team
  • Find solutions to any unexpected technical difficulties and other problems that may arise
  • Provide regular updates on the progress of works to Senior Management

 

Candidate Specification:

  • Civil Engineer background
  • 3 plus years’ experience in a similar position
  • Fantastic communication and organisational skills
  • Ability to be a self-starter
  • Full driving licence
  • Setting out knowledge
  • Commercial awareness
