Leading Main Contractor with a reputation for delivering interesting and across the Country.
They require a site engineer for a new housing development in Cork – long term work in the area for an enthusiastic engineer who wants to work as part of a team to deliver high quality projects.
Known for their high standard of work and staff retention - fantastic company to work for.
They are keen to chat to engineers with 3+ years’ experience setting out in the Irish Construction Industry setting out for building projects – residential projects would be preferred but not essential
The Role
- Setting out and checking works as required for the project and ensuring all works are completed in line with project drawings specifications and building regulations.
- Performing checks on the quality of works completed to ensure works are done to a high standard.
- Liaise with sub-contractors and personnel on site in the planning of daily tasks for the project.
- Supervise trades on site and act as a point of contact for subbies, architect and client.
- Ensure H&S standards are met and adhered to on site.
- Support the Project Manager and Senior Engineer to ensure works are completed as per programme and to a high standard.
- Maintain excellent relationships with the construction management team, subcontractors and site personnel.
Requirements
- A Degree in Construction Management & Engineering, Civil Engineering or related discipline.
- 3+ Experience with a Main Contractor in ROI
- Ability to use setting out instruments is essential and being competent in all aspects of set out, survey & level, temporary works co-ordination.
