Job Description
INFORM3 are currently recruiting for an experienced Site Engineer to join a leading building contractor on a large-scale school development in Drogheda.
This is an excellent opportunity to join an established contractor working on a major commercial project, offering exposure to a high-quality development and the opportunity to work alongside an experienced site management and engineering team.
The successful candidate will be responsible for setting out, overseeing engineering activities and ensuring works are completed accurately and in line with project specifications, drawings and programme requirements.
Key Responsibilities
- Carry out all setting-out activities across the project.
- Interpret construction drawings, specifications and technical information.
- Ensure works are completed accurately and in line with design requirements.
- Monitor construction progress and assist with programme delivery.
- Coordinate subcontractors and site personnel.
- Carry out quality checks and site inspections.
- Manage RFIs and resolve technical issues as they arise.
- Maintain accurate site records and as-built drawings.
- Liaise with the Site Manager, design team and project engineers.
- Ensure all works comply with health and safety requirements.
Candidate Requirements
- Degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management or a related discipline.
- Previous experience as a Site Engineer with a main contractor.
- Experience working on commercial or large-scale construction projects.
- Strong setting-out experience using Total Station and GPS equipment.
- Ability to read and interpret construction drawings.
- Good knowledge of construction methods and sequencing.
- Strong communication and organisational skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of an established site team.
