Site Engineer – Northern Ireland
INFORM3 are looking to appoint a Site Engineer, for projects based in Northern Ireland. The successful candidate will work for a Civil Engineering Contractor with a number of years’ experience in the construction industry. The client is seeking Site Engineers to carry out setting out and have experience on working with road projects.
Site Engineer Responsibilities:
- Liaise with the Senior Engineer on site
- Complete site setting out and surveying
- Assist in managing labourers and site staff are managed through effective communication and coordination
- Assist in the control of plant and materials on site
- Know the company quality standards and ensure site team comply with these standards
- Read and understand site drawings
- Complete site diaries and paperwork
- Conducting Toolbox Talks and Health and Safety Briefings
- Assist in providing site inductions and briefings
- Ensure competence of staff
- Be present for site meetings
- Complete any other relevant duties when required
Site Engineer Specification:
- Civil Engineer background
- 1 years’ plus experience
- Setting Out experience
- Ability to work off their own initiative
- Ability to work as part of a team and communicate effectively
- Strong numeracy and IT skills including MS Office, Word and Excel
- Full driving licence
