Site Foreman – Derry / Londonderry

INFORM3 are currently recruiting a Site Foreman for a groundworks and housing development project based in Derry / Londonderry. The Site Foreman will work for a Civil Engineering Contractor with an abundance of knowledge and expertise. The Client is well known throughout Northern Ireland for the value in placing the highest respect for Health and Safety, Quality and Hard work on each of their projects.

The successful candidate will be experienced in working on groundworks, earthworks, utilities, roads etc and be confident in managing civil teams.

 

Site Foreman Key Responsibilities:

  • Report regularly to the Senior Management team regarding site progress
  • Coordinate and plan works, ensuring that each site member is clear on their role
  • Conduct site walks, ensuring Health & Safety is adhered too
  • Regularly check the programme of works against work that is being currently completed
  • Supervise direct and specialist labour, encouraging each team to meet targets and deadlines
  • Complete the site diary, allocation sheets time sheets, labour records, reports on progress, plant returns, material returns and local site purchase sheets
  • Ensure site inductions are carried out for site members
  • Coordinate Toolbox talks and Health & Safety Briefings
  • Attend site review meetings
  • Complete any other duties as and when required

 

Site Foreman Required Qualifications/Experience:

  • Civil Engineering or Construction Management Background
  • 5 years’ plus experience
  • Experience in a Site Foreman or similar position
  • Proven track record of successful project delivery
  • Experience in heavy plant operations – desirable, not essential
  • Experience in AutoCAD – desirable, not essential
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and confident in the use of Microsoft Office
  • Full Driving License
