Site Foreman – Essex

INFORM3 are recruiting a Site Foreman for a large road project in Essex. The successful candidate will work on behalf of a Northern Irish Contractor with a number of years in the Civil Engineering industry. The client takes great pride in their staff and is always happy to reinvest into furthering their skillset and knowledge.

The successful candidate must be confident in managing civil projects and site teams, they must also be able to work to targets and ensure there is continuous high-quality work produced.

 

Site Foreman Key Responsibilities:

  • Liaise with the Project Manager
  • Be familiar with the Project Plan and ensure all site works are in line with the plan and deadlines
  • Responsible for supervising and co-ordinating teams of direct labour and specialist sub-contractors and sub-contract labour, meeting targets and deadlines the contract.
  • Complete the daily site diary, allocation sheets, time sheets, record of labour, progress report sheets, plant returns, material returns and local site purchase sheets.
  • Regularly measure site progression and the quality of work
  • Order in materials, ensuring there is sufficient stock to complete the project
  • Coordinate the installation and movement of Plant, Machinery and Equipment on site
  • Carry out regular checks on Plant and Machinery
  • Ensure the site is safe to complete works
  • Coordinate Site Meetings
  • Carry out toolbox talks and site inductions
  • Liaise with Clients / Consultancies / Public when appropriate
  • Manage traffic on and off site

 

Site Foreman Specification:

  • Construction Management Background
  • Civils’ experience
  • 5 years plus relevant experience
  • Experience working with Plant and Machinery
  • Experience working with roads, earthworks, utilities, landscaping etc
  • Excellent Communicator
  • Full Driving License
