Rightpath Construction Recruitment has a new opportunity for a Site Manager to join a building contractor who has been operating of over 30 years. The contractor based in Northern Ireland, does a mixture of housing/apartment project along with new build commercial up to the value of £8M.

They have a requirement in their housing division for an experienced Site Manager to take on new project from site set up through to completion. This project is with a repeat client, so they require a Site Manager with at least 5 years’ experience as No.1 on Housing/Apartment schemes. This is a 3-year project starting in North Dublin. Excellent salary with van/fuel and strong package.

Site Manager – Duties

  • Ability to deliver projects on time and to perfection
  • To provide accurate, consistent and professional records, reports and general information
  • To manage and motivate site teams
  • Conduct risk assessment
  • To ensure that all processes are being adhered to on a project by project basis
  • Survey sites to mitigate problems and check viability of design
  • Ensuring end product meets customer expectation in relation to build and finish
  • Organise and coordinate labour
  • Instrumental role in the negotiation of contracts in conjunction with direct and sub-contract staff
  • Provide labour costing for various projects to determine feasibility and profitability
  • CRM function to ensure customer satisfaction
  • Produce reports on job progress and remedials or any other fault of amendment
  • Reporting to Construction and Financial Director as required

Site Manager – Criteria

  • Ability to work under one's own initiative
  • Self-motivated hard worked
  • Strong team building skills
  • Analytical and decision making skills
  • Technical and practical knowledge of the building industry is important
  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office, Excel, Powerpoint and industry specific software
  • Strong budgeting and financial management skills
  • Excellent written and oral presentation skills
