Site Manager – Northern Ireland

 

INFORM3 are looking to appoint a Site Manager, for civils and utility projects throughout Northern Ireland. The successful candidate will work on behalf of a client with over 40 years’ experience in the construction industry. The client has had continued growth through their value of always taking complete ownership and control of every project. The successful candidate must have experience in managing civil projects and have knowledge on groundworks, roads and utilities.

 

 

Site Manager Key Responsibilities:

  • Report into the Project and Contracts Managers
  • Coordinate site works as per the project plan
  • Ensure that site inspections and site walks take place regularly
  • Maintain that the site is in line with the current health and safety legislations
  • Coordinate direct labour and specialist sub-contractors, ensuring they are clear on their duties and tasks
  • Complete the daily site diary, allocation sheets, time sheets, record of labour, progress report sheets, plant returns, material returns and local site purchase sheets.
  • Assist in emergency situations as directed by site management.
  • To ensure safe working practices are adhered to, as outlined in method statements and risk assessments
  • To attend sub contractors’ meetings and site staff meetings.
  • To liaise with the senior site management team passing on relevant information on regular basis.
  • Complete any other duties as and when required

 

Required Qualifications/Experience:

  • Civil Engineer or Construction Management Background
  • 5 years’ plus experience in a similar role
  • Experience in managing civils site teams
  • Experience in groundworks, earthworks, utilities, roads etc
  • Confident in the use of Microsoft Office
  • Excellent communicator and able to work within a team
  • Full Driving License
