Job Title – Site Manager

Project – Commercial Build & fit  

Job Location – Westmeath  

Salary – €65,000 - €75,000 + package  

 

About the Company

My client is seeking a strong Site Manager to join their team on a new project out in Westmeath. The job runs until the end of this year but more work to follow in Midland’s area.

 This is a permanent position as a result of a full order book well in to next year. Applicants must be comfortable with next locations being Midlands / Leinster wide.

Ideally want someone to come in who is confident on site, can manage the various trades and motivate staff – boots on the ground attitude.

The successful candidate will have a strong background in commercial construction across a range of sectors including schools, HSE, office space and commercial.  

 

The Role

  • Coordination and supervision of the fit out of commercial projects – new build & fit out
  • Act as a point of contact for direct staff, subcontractors, clients and design team.
  • Report into and support the Project Manager and Contracts Manager
  • Oversee and manage manpower on site including, direct staff and subcontractors.
  • Oversee the procurement of materials and ensure that site requirements are met without exceeding budget.
  • Managing sub-contractors, trades and personnel on site to ensure that productivity levels are high and works are completed on time and within budget.  
  • Ensure that company policies including H&S policies are adhered to on site.

 

Requirements

  • A Degree in Construction Management or Trade Background (carpentry/ joinery preferred)
  • A minimum of 5 years proven experience in a similar role with a construction company in ROI – main contractor or fit out contractor preferred
