THE PROJECT
A leading construction contractor is seeking an experienced Site Manager to join a healthcare project in Kilkenny.
This is a multi million commercial project working closely with the projects team. The client has long term projects in the local area.
The successful Site Manager will take responsibility for the day-to-day management and delivery of the project, ensuring works are completed safely, efficiently, to programme and to the required quality standards.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Manage the day-to-day running of the project and site operations.
- Plan, coordinate and monitor construction activities to ensure programme targets are achieved.
- Manage and coordinate subcontractors, trades and site personnel.
- Ensure works are completed in accordance with drawings, specifications and quality standards.
- Coordinate with the Project Manager, engineers, design team, consultants and client representatives.
- Monitor progress and identify potential programme delays or issues.
- Manage site resources, including labour, plant and materials.
- Conduct regular site inspections and ensure quality standards are maintained.
- Ensure all Health & Safety procedures and site requirements are strictly followed.
- Manage RFIs, technical queries, snagging and project close-out.
- Maintain accurate site records, reports and documentation.
- Lead and motivate the site team to ensure efficient project delivery.
- Ensure the project is delivered safely, on time and within budget.
REQUIREMENTS
- Proven experience as a Site Manager within a Main Contractor environment.
- Previous experience on commercial, healthcare, refurbishment or structural projects.
- Strong knowledge of construction methods, sequencing and project delivery.
- Excellent subcontractor and site team management skills.
- Strong understanding of Health & Safety and quality requirements.
- Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications.
- Excellent communication and organisational skills.
- Ability to manage multiple workstreams and meet programme deadlines.
- Relevant construction qualification is desirable.
- Safe Pass and relevant site certifications.
