Site Managers – Dublin

INFORM3 are seeking to appoint Site Engineers, for civil projects in North Dublin. The client is a highly recognised Civil Engineering Contractor that has a number of live projects and is seeking to add an experienced and organised Site Manager. The successful candidate must have previous experience working in the civils industry with projects involving groundworks, utilities, earthworks, landscaping and roads.

 

Site Managers Key Responsibilities:

  • Liaise with the Project and Contracts Managers
  • Be part of the sub-contractor selection process
  • Coordinate site activities daily
  • Manage site teams including direct and sub-contractor staff
  • Coordinate Plant and Machinery on site, checking all machinery is fit for purpose
  • Order in materials ensuring there is sufficient stock for site staff
  • Ensue the site is being coordinated as per the Project Management Plan
  • Ensure the site is a safe place to work and meets H&S requirements
  • Complete on a regular basis the site diary, allocation sheets, time sheets, record of labour, progress report sheets, plant returns, material returns and local site purchase sheets.
  • To ensure safe working practices are adhered to, as outlined in method statements and risk assessments
  • Attend and coordinate sub contractors’ meetings and site staff meetings.
  • Provide reports for the Project and Contracts Managers
  • Ensure all staff have received site inductions
  • Chair and lead Toolbox talks and Site Meetings
  • Assist in emergency situations and managing traffic on and off site

 

Site Managers Required Qualifications/Experience:

  • Civil Engineering or Construction Management Background/Degree
  • 5 years plus experience in a similar role
  • Experience in managing civil teams
  • Experience in working on a variety of civil projects
  • Experience in heavy plant operations – desirable, not essential
  • Confident in the use of Microsoft Office
  • Excellent communicator and highly organised
  • Able to work within a team
  • Full Driving License
