INFORM3 are currently recruiting for an experienced Site Surveyor to join a major civil engineering project in Kerry. This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled surveyor with strong experience across road, infrastructure or heavy civils projects.

The successful candidate will be responsible for providing accurate surveying and setting-out support throughout the project, working closely with the Site Management and Engineering teams to ensure works are delivered accurately and in line with design requirements.

Site Surveyor Key Responsibilities

  • Carry out accurate site surveys and setting out for road and civil engineering works.
  • Establish and maintain site control points and benchmarks.
  • Set out roads, drainage, kerbing, earthworks and associated infrastructure.
  • Carry out topographical, as-built and construction surveys.
  • Use Total Station, GPS/GNSS and other surveying equipment effectively.
  • Check levels, coordinates, dimensions and alignments against project drawings.
  • Produce and maintain accurate survey records and documentation.
  • Process survey data and provide information to the site engineering team.
  • Assist with quantity measurements, earthworks and volume calculations where required.
  • Monitor construction works to ensure they are being completed to the correct line, level and specification.
  • Liaise with Site Engineers, Project Managers, subcontractors and site teams to resolve technical and surveying issues.
  • Ensure all surveying activities are completed accurately and in accordance with project procedures.
  • Maintain high standards of health and safety at all times.

Site Surveyor Requirements:

  • Relevant qualification in Surveying, Geomatics, Civil Engineering or a related discipline.
  • Proven experience as a Site Surveyor / Land Surveyor within civil engineering.
  • Strong experience on road, highways, infrastructure or heavy civils projects.
  • Excellent knowledge of Total Station and GPS/GNSS equipment.
  • Experience with setting out, levels, coordinates and control networks.
  • Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications.
  • Experience producing as-built surveys and maintaining accurate records.
  • Strong attention to detail and a high level of accuracy.
  • Good IT and data-processing skills.
  • Full driving licence.
  • Safe Pass and Manual Handling certification desirable.
