Chartered Civil/Structural Engineer

Our client is a leading Civil and Structural Engineer who require a Senior Civil/Structural Engineer. This is an excellent opportunity for a Chartered Structural/Civil Engineer to join a highly respected construction consultancy. This midlands based practice has a strong reputation as a professional service, offering Civil, Structural, Quantity Surveying and Project Management services. Due to an increased workload and several new projects we have an opportunity for an experienced engineer to join our team and a real opportunity for career progression.
 
Job responsibilities:

  • Our company specialises in cost consultancy, project management and engineering delivery across a varied range of construction projects. The successful candidate will be required to work alongside our in-house teams to provide engineering expertise in the successful delivery of residential, industrial and commercial developments. 
  • Structural Design / Detailing and Specification on various projects.
  • Design Certifier & Assigned Certifier responsibilities.
  • Civil Design and detailing. Typical Civil elements include stormwater/foul designs associated with a development. 
  • Effective communication with clients, staff and external associates.
  • Flexible working arrangement. 
  • You will work on a range of projects from residential housing schemes, commercial and industrial developments.

  • As Senior Structural Engineer you will be responsible for developing designs and working as part of a team whilst liaising with Clients, Contractors and Design Teams.
  • This position offers great prospects of advancement in a busy expanding practice.
  • Reporting to Senior management, the candidate’s duties will include taking the technical lead on projects, both carrying out and reviewing/checking designs by others, liaising with Clients, design team and contractor and supporting the growth and development of the Team.

 

Criteria:

  • Engineer with minimum 5 years experience
  • Degree in Civil/Structural Engineering (or equivalent)
  • Chartership essential
  • Be self-motivated and be able to work on your own initiative along with being a team player
  • Must have fluent English.
