Our client is currently recruiting for a Structural Steel Project Manager to work within their Mechanical Engineering company based in Co. Mayo. This is a great opportunity to get involved in multiple medium sized bespoke projects within a fast growing and expanding company.

 

Roles & Responsibilities Include:

  • Produce hand calculations and apply logical engineering judgement.
  • Ensure the correct project documentation is filed.
  • Manage all teams involved with the project.
  • Maintain maximum cost effectiveness by planning, maintaining and controlling the financial administration of all construction work.
  • Report to the general manager and admin to ensure they are kept UpToDate.
  • Perform Risk management procedures.
  • Assist in the preparation of final project accounts.
  • Preparations of valuations for payment with full documentation in an efficient and timely manner.

 

Skills/Qualifications Required:

  • Degree in Quantity Surveying or Structural Engineering.
  • Working Knowledge or experience in technical elements of structural steel fabrication and erection.
  • Previous Contracts Management experience.
  • AutoCAD skills and general familiarity with 3D modelling.
  • Experience in a wide variety of contracts, within residential and Industrial sector.
  • Ability to read and understand technical specifications and drawings.
  • Great communication skills.
