Subcontractor Buyer – Banbridge

The Company

Local Building and Civils Contractor have won a number of large-scale projects across NI and ROI. Looking for buyer to manage and oversee subcontractor packages. This contractor deals with multi-million-pound projects and have the flexibility for site visits, predominantly in Leinster region.

Looking for an individual who has main contracting experience whether it be in building or civils, and who has a good knowledge of the Irish Construction Industry. You will have excellent time management skills and be capable of establishing effective working relations with both site staff and clients.

The Role

• Negotiate and agree subcontractor packages
• Report and work closely with Procurement Manager, providing monthly reports on the progress of the site.
• Working closely with surveying and site teams dealing with any issues regarding subcontractors
• Process orders from site management and respond to requests or urgent orders.

Quantity Surveyors Criteria

• Third level qualification in a constructed related discipline
• Experience in procurement for a Main Contractor
• Negotiation Skills
• Ability to work confidently on your own and as part of a team
