Sustaining Engineer required. Our client is a well-established and growing manufacturer of specialist products based in the County Limerick area. They are seeking a Sustaining Engineer to provide a conduit between the research and development and manufacturing departments to ensure a smooth transition to high volume manufacture.

You will lead or participate in engineering projects in any one of the following Sustaining Engineer areas such as CAPA, Design, Manufacturing or NPI and collaborate with other teams.

Duties Include:

• Provide manufacturing capability support to the research and development team.
• Working with the operations team to design and improve manufacturing lines.
• Suggesting reliable and cost-effective manufacturing methods from engineering drawings provided by the R&D team.
• Supporting new product introduction phases.
• Creating and maintain standard operating procedures within the production department.
• Assisting the resolution of quality defects with the quality assurance team.
• Assisting the continuous improvement culture of the business, including the development of new manufacturing lines.
• Ensure effective reporting to the Senior Sustaining Engineers and Manufacturing Engineering Manager.

Skills & Experience Required:

• HNC or above in either a Mechanical, Electrical or Mechatronic related field.
• 3+ years of experience in an NPI / Manufacturing Engineering role or similar.
• Experience of Medical Device Industry and FDA Practices.
• Excellent Verbal and Non-Verbal Communication.
• Strong organisational and building skills.
• Ability to work in a team environment and individually.
• Based in a commutable distance from Limerick.
