Switchgear & Controls Manager - Belfast

Technical Manager          Belfast                  £45-55k

A growing company based in Belfast is recruiting for a Technical Manager with background in Electrical Controls and Switchgear to join their team.

This is an excellent role for an experienced Electrical Engineer familiar with concept design through to final product manufacturing, ideally from a switchgear background, with proven experience leading a team.

Core responsibilities

• Take a lead role in design and management of the engineering team on a variety of projects
• Be active in discovering and investigating new processes and techniques
• Plan and schedule project timelines and milestones using appropriate tools
• Interpret client requirements into functional cost-effective designs
• Liaise from design through to fabrication
• Devise delivery strategies which maximise project revenues, minimise costs, to customer satisfaction
• Work with other departments and 3rd parties to identify and schedule project resources
• Effectively and regularly communicate with internal and external project stakeholders

Requirements

• Experience managing and leading a team of engineers
• Time served engineer with a background in Electrical control panels and switchgear
• Ability to read electrical drawings and schematics
• Proven experience overseeing projects from cradle to grave
• Good IT Skills
