Temporary Works Designer

INFORM3 are seeking to appoint a Temporary Works Designer for an established civil engineering specialist to support the delivery of safe, efficient and practical temporary works solutions across a range of construction projects.
The role involves working closely with project managers, engineers, site teams, and clients to produce detailed temporary works designs in line with current regulations and industry standards.
Temporary Works Designer Key Responsibilities
- Produce temporary works designs for formwork, falsework, propping, access systems, and related structures
- Prepare detailed design calculations, drawings, and technical documentation
- Ensure designs comply with relevant British Standards, Eurocodes, and health & safety requirements
- Coordinate with site teams to develop practical and buildable solutions
- Review project specifications, drawings, and construction methodologies
- Attend design meetings and provide technical support during project delivery
- Liaise with clients, consultants, and subcontractors when required
- Assist with design risk assessments and temporary works procedures
- Support continuous improvement in design processes and technical standards
Temporary Works Designer Requirements
- Degree or HND/HNC in Civil or Structural Engineering
- Experience in temporary works, formwork, or structural design preferred
- Knowledge of reinforced concrete construction methods
- Proficiency in AutoCAD and structural design software
- Strong understanding of temporary works standards and regulations
- Ability to interpret technical drawings and specifications
- Good communication and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Experience working within the construction sector
- Familiarity with BIM/Revit software
- Site experience within civil engineering or concrete frame projects
