Tendering Engineer           Co. Carlow                Salary: €60-70K DOE

An exciting opportunity has arisen with a leading Utilities Company located in County Carlow. The opportunity is for a Tendering Engineer to come on board and play a vital role in being responsible for assigned tenders dealing with commercial and estimating activities associated with the tender requirements.

Roles & Responsibilities Include:

  • Delivers major projects for the company which they facilitate in.
  • Prepare and analyse project costings for tenders, including materials, quantities, labour and time.
  • Managing a portfolio of tendering and estimating projects from initial enquiry through cost and price development to tender submissions and order placement to meet customer tender deadlines.
  • Full responsibility for the quality and standard of all tender / quote submissions.
  • Assist in establishing a solution to the client's requirements and undertake feasibility studies with the Engineering, Projects and Supply Chain team
  • Prepare and analyse project costings for tenders, including materials, quantities, labour and time.
  • Develop a sound working knowledge of the company’s engineering and technology (training will be provided).
  • Compiling tender documentation for submission to client, submitting offers to client document portal.

Essential Criteria:

  • 3+ years’ experience of Tendering/Estimating Engineering.
  • Experience in mechanical/electrical engineering environment.
  • 3rd level Qualification in Engineering/Technology.
  • Good Excel modelling skills.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Driver’s License.
