Trainee/Production Manager              Co. Tyrone, Dungannon                £25-50K

This role we suit someone who is responsible, friendly, has excellent communication skills and is a natural problem-solver. We are searching for independent workers, with great leadership skills who are also able to work effectively as part of a team.

Roles Include:

  • To control and direct manufacturing activities within the companies’ fabrications ensuring high standards are achieved and customer requirements are met.
  • Proactively manage the team to meet daily/weekly production plan demand.
  • Assessing project and resource requirements.
  • Ensure there is a comprehensive program of continuous improvement in place to improve quality, performance, efficiency and reduce costs through structured problem- solving activities (5s and Lean Projects) in line with the companies Quality Policies and systems.
  • Estimating, negotiating, and agreeing budgets and timescales with clients and managers.
  • Ensuring that health and safety regulations are met.
  • Overseeing production processes.
  • Monitor KPIs, health and safety regulations, team budgets and more
  • Working with the general manager, transport manager and purchasing manager to ensure the smooth running of the business.
  • Maintaining GMP / Housekeeping at a high level at all times.
  • Managing process and material flows.

Skills & Experience Required:

  • Experience within a similar role ideally within a manufacturing/engineering environment.
  • Managerial/supervisory /team leader experience.
  • Minimum 2:2 Hons Degree or equivalent in Mechanical or Manufacturing Engineering
  • A lean manufacturing background or a strong focus on continuous improvement.
  • Ability to be flexible and adaptable in line with company requirements.
  • Excellent Verbal and Non-Verbal Communication.
  • Working knowledge of production planning in a fast-paced environment.
  • Competent in use of Microsoft Office applications with experience in the use of CAD software.

This role offers an excellent salary package, holidays and as well as working hours where you will finish at 1pm on a Friday.
