About the Company:

As a Warehouse and Logistics Manager you will be responsible for the warehouse and logistics departments and ensure the operation runs smoothly on a day-to-day basis. This will include managing the goods in, put away, replenishment, stock control, picking and logistics teams.

You will be required to ensure effective and efficient maintenance and development of their supply chain, helping maximise sales and production and support future business growth.

Duties Include:

  • Oversee planning of warehousing to optimise space availability and safe storage.
  • Monitor the movement of goods across multi-sites and stores.
  • Manage all picking activities for supplier and customer fulfilments.
  • Assist daily operations including deliveries and shipments.
  • Ensure inventory management is maintained to secure accuracy.
  • Collaborate with purchasing and sales teams on stock availability.
  • Establish KPIs and manage team performance levels.
  • Develop and improve picking and packing procedures.
  • Manage and motivate a team to encourage teamwork and ensure productivity.
  • Ensure compliance with health & safety, good housekeeping and security.
  • Manage contractual terms with logistics providers.
  • Develop and oversee stock returns process.
  • Advise on appropriate packaging options to reduce cost and minimise damage.

Skills & Experience Required:

  • 4+ years’ experience of managing large warehouse and logistics teams necessary.
  • Ability to identify problems and trends and take own initiative and provide and implement solutions with guidance.
  • Experience working in a Food Manufacturing environment beneficial.
  • Ensuring that all teams and processes are working in accordance with our health and safety policies.
  • Confident and assertive in decision making & problem solving.
  • Great people skills with the ability to train and mentor others.
  • Strong organisational and planning skills.
  • Effective communications skills.
