Welder Newry
Our client based in Newry has an immediate requirement to recruit an experienced Welder/Fabricator to join their team.
The successful candidate will have experience in TIG welding and thin gauge stainless steel fabrication, able to support the production plans to ensure delivery of production to set timescales and quality standards.
Responsibilities:
- TIG / Laser welding
- Interpret and follow technical drawings
- Plan and sequence installation works to avoid obstructions and activities of other workers.
- Assemble and install a variety of pipes and pipe fittings
- Observe and comply with all safety and project rules and all company policies and procedures.
- Operating fabrication machinery
Desired Skills and Experience
- Welding and pipe fitting background
- 2+ years of experience TIG welding
- Competent in fabrication work
- Mechanical qualification (e.g. City & Guilds or BTEC).
- Welder qualifications preferred
- Ability to work under pressure and to deadlines
