Job Title – Working Foreman

Job Location – Sligo / Donegal

Salary - €50,000 - €60,000

About the Company

Medium sized building contractor is on the lookout for an Intermediate Site Engineer. The contractor is based in the North West, and would cover projects both North and South. They would handle projects between £500k - £7M across educational, healthcare and residential sectors.

The Role

• Manage and coordinate site staff
• Ensure completion dates are met
• Management of H&S on site to ensure highest standards are maintained
• Will have good attention to detail and be able to work under pressure to achieve strict deadlines
• Will be safety conscious
• Ensuring quality of works

Requirements

• Preferably an ex-carpenter, bricklayer or another trade
• Excellent eye for detail and quality
• Experience of managing a variety of projects including new build, restoration, maintenance and refurbishment.
• Be able to implement and maintain standards of health and safety
• A hands-on approach, working on site and demonstrating leadership
• Managing multi-talented sub-contractors
• Excellent communications and coordination skills to deal with client, subcontractor, and supplier issues; fairly and confidently
• Versatility to work on the tools as and when required.
• Good general knowledge of all aspects of the building process
• Has the ability to read drawings and understand project variations
• A minimum of 5 years’ experience is required for this role.
• Full, Clean Driving Licence Required
